This page will be revamped in due course; many of the original photos here were taken on one of the very first digital cameras so their quality is pretty poor these days. I have since taken some improved photos but have not as yet had time to add them to this page.
Compared to the Vulcan cockpit, the Victor's one is much roomier and most obviously is all on one level, instead of having the rear crew lower than the pilots. Thanks to Chris Potter for the pictures of XH648's cockpit.

Super pictures, as an Instrument mechanic on the Victor XH620, it brought back fond memories. A superb aeroplane and it had a full life, I have pictures of it in S.Wales being broken up - damn shame.

I was on VASS at RAF Wattisham in 1986 when six (I think) Victors arrived (5 minutes notice!) at 2 minute intervals (due to Marham being on exercise & going Red), as there were only 3 of us on shift , you can imagine it was pure chaos, getting chocks in place on Wattisham's rather large pan (without a Land Rover as our 'Snec' had taken it to the Mess for lunch)....Anyway, we got them all in, chocked and locked and then got a bollocking from our Snec (who'd just arrived) for not giving him a call!!

Great pictures. My father was a Navigator on Victors at RAF Marham, early 1970's. Fond memories of watching them take off and land as a youngster.

Great pictures...I'm going to be building a 72nd scale model of the Victor and these will be valuable reference material.

I used to stand on the rail bridge by Radlett airfield and watch them take off - they went up just like a rocket!

They remind me of a Flash Gordon rocket at the front. At Gaydon one day a Victor lifted off and whilst very low vered to where I and an other airman was standing we stated to run but the pilot recovered control and was back on course, up and away!
