Jaguar GR.1 XX746 at RAF Cosford, 9th June 2024; Jake Wallace

First flown on 4th December 1974, XX746 was delivered to the RAF on 20th December 1974 and entered service with 31 Squadron at RAFG Brüggen, coded DH. When the squadron re-equipped with the Tornado in 1984, XX746 returned to the UK and joined 226 OCU, coded 09.

By 1988 she was retired to ground instructional duties as 8895M, first at No.1 SoTT at RAF Halton, then later No.2 SoTT at RAF Cosford. She has remained there ever since, gaining the tail code of 'S' at some point.

Recently, XX746 has been moved outside into storage where she is no longer being used for training purposes and could possibly be up for disposal in the near future.
