Lightning F.53 53-418 at Kuwait City, 2016; Aircraft throughout the years
A previously unrecorded Lightning survivor is 53-418, an airframe that was once in great condition, but sadly the photo shows that a lack of TLC and being left in the harsh desert sun has started to take its toll. The canopy is completely clouded and the front screens have nearly clouded too. Her nose leg could do with a charge, tires are looking rather flat plus a fair amount of corrosion has set in. Hopefully, this Lightning will receive some care and attention in the near future.
