Hunter FGA.78 QA-10 at Yorkshire Air Museum, 23rd September 2023; Jake Wallace

This FGA.78 saw service not only with the Dutch but also with the Qatar Air Force. The sun of Qatar is quite a change from Yorkshire's weather, eh!

QA-10 arrived at the museum in 1992, where her green and grey camouflage scheme under the serial N-268. For several years she was displayed in their large hangar on site, but has sadly long since been vacated to the outdoors which took a significant toll on her paintwork. Happily, she was given a repaint back into her Qatar colours in 2015, which swiftly faded unfortunately, leaving her looking a bit rough for several years.

During 2023, possibly inspired by the recent repaint of their Buccaneer XV168, a small team began to prep and re-paint QA-10, and is now looking stunning as a result, although lacking stencil markings when the above images was taken,
