Hunter F.6A XG196 at , 15th March 2020; Damien Burke

First flown on 10th September 1956, XG196 was delivered to 19 Squadron RAF the next month and went on to serve with 234 Squadron/229 OCU (later the TWU) at RAF Brawdy. She was retired in 1981 to gate guard duties at RAF Staff College, Bracknell and was there for 16 years before moving to similar duties at the Defence Medical Services Training Centre at Mytchett, at some paint having a repaint into her current slightly inaccurate 234 Squadron colours. She was disposed of in 2014 and acquired by Everett Aero who moved her to their storage facility at Bentwaters in March of that year. As you can see, she's awfully faded and dirty, has the odd missing panel and dent, but seems to be in decent enough condition otherwise - certainly a good prospect for a restoration.
