F.1

A selection of shots of the Midland Air Museum's XK740, taken while it was being restored - it looks in rather better nick these days!

  1. Gun sight from port side.
  2. Instrument panel from port side.
  3. Canopy in raised position. Seat and extension jack are missing.
  4. Aft of the canopy, port side.
  5. Instrument panel from starboard side.
  6. Gun sight, starboard side.

T.1 - Front

Some shots of XR991 (the yellow one) and G-RORI at Kemble (note that both have had some modifications made for civilian use) plus XR754 at Cosford.

  1. Coaming - starboard side.
  2. Looking down through the canopy.
  3. Closer look at the ejector seat, note the red knob showing it is safed.
  4. Ejector seat removed in G-RORI for a clearer look at the cockpit layout.
  5. G-RORI again...
  6. ...and again.
  7. Ejector seat again, from the starboard side.
  8. XR754, several instruments missing and note how the coaming shape differs from the civilian owned examples...
  9. ...and what it looks like with an ejector seat in place.

T.1 - Rear

Two more shots of XR991 and one of XR754.

  1. Looking down through the canopy.
  2. And, from further forward, looking back.
  3. XR574's rear cockpit.
