Jaguar T.4 XX835 at RAF Cosford, 10th June 2018; Damien Burke

First flown on 14th February 1975, XX835 was built as a T.2 and delivered to the RAF on 17th March 1975, entering service with 226 OCU at RAF Lossiemouth, coded V. In September 1986 she was loaned to the RAE, upgraded to a T.2B and then returned to the RAF in October 1995. She was now with 54 Sqn at RAF Coltishall, and went on to serve with 6 and 41 Sqns, coded FY. She was flown to St. Athan in August 1999 for upgrade to T.4 and returned to 41 Sqn after that.

She finally moved to 6 Sqn, coded EX, and remained with them until retirement in May 2007, at which point she gained a pair of specially marked drop tanks. She was one of the last three RAF Jaguars flown into RAF Cosford for ground instructional use, landing there on 2nd July 2007, and remains there to this day. In 2018 her fin was painted up for the 100th anniversary of the RAF on one side and the 80th anniversary of RAF Cosford on the other, losing her EX code in the process and gaining a new one of P.
