Hunter F.6 XG209 at RAF Halton, April 1993; Alan Allen

Delivered to the RAF in October 1956, XG209 later retired to Halton in 1981 where she became a ground instructional airframe with the No.1 School of Technical Training as 8709M. In 1994, the aircraft was unfortunately moved to Hanningfield Metals where she was scrapped. Thankfully the nose section survived and moved into private hands, moving the cockpit to Chelmsford in 1995. She has since moved hands again and is now in Kingston-upon-Thames.
