Canberra T.4 A84-502 at Historical Aircraft Restoration Society Museum, 6th May 2015; Phil Rawlings

Originally WT492, a T.4 trainer, this Canberra was built by English Electric at Preston in 1955 and sold to the RAAF as a Mk.21 dual-control trainer, serial A84-502. She was delivered on 3 May 1956 to 1 (Bomber) Operational Conversion Unit (OCU) and served with the RAAF for 12 years. She was then allocated to Ground Instructional use at RAAF Waaga.

In 1989, the airframe was recovered from RAAF Forest Hills by the Historic Aircraft Restoration Society who now own A84-502. The society has since restored the aircraft to static condition, and the picture above shows what a fine job they have done!
