XS923 first took to the skies on 13th December 1966, the airframe retired to RAF Cranfield for storage. It was sold to Phoenix Aviation based at Bruntingthorpe in November 1994 and was sadly broken up the next month. The cockpit has been sold to Sue and Roy who moved it to Welshpool where it is tucked up undercover.
