Lightning T.5 XS421 at Neatishead, 20th July 2022; Richard E Flagg

XS421 first flew on 25th February 1965 and retired in 1975. The aircraft was sadly scrapped in 1976 although the cockpit managed to survive.

The cockpit was sold and was road moved to Rayleigh, Essex for storage before moving to East Bilney in Norfolk. In 2019, XS421 was sold to Carl Lamb alongside cockpit XN795, who moved the nose sections to Neatishead where they are slowly being cleaned up and restored.
