- Aircraftlocationsandlogs is a fairly quiet
group mostly dealing with the wrecks & relics scene in the UK.
- G-DASH at airfields is a busier list dedicated
to the contents of mostly civvy airfields and GA stuff.
- Mil-AirUK is a new list for military
aviation communications - scanning etc.
- mil-spotters-forum is a mailing list mostly
used by hard-core spotters but is useful for non-spotters too, for instance it carries details of
participants at airshows, late changes to airshow arrangements, and all sorts of other military
aviation related chat. Thankfully now has far fewer handbag-waving sessions than in previous times.
- vintage-and-warbirds/ is fairly
self-explanatory but also fairly quiet and deals more with the Australian scene than anything else.
- Avi8 is probably the best one for the general UK aviation/airshow scene
and includes contributors who own and fly the aircraft you see at shows.
- FlyPast is
another good one particularly for the historic scene.
- The Warbirds Resource Group run
several discussion groups among which is the particularly good Warbird Information Exchange. Some of the big names in
warbird restoration and recovery participate here.
