Taking to the skies in March 1977, XZ384 was delivered to the RAF in April 1977.
The airframe carried out her last flight sometime in the 1980s, presumably to RAF Shawbury for storage before being transported to RAF Cosford in March 1988. At Cosford, XZ384 (8954M) joined the DCAE school where she was used for ground instructional purposes. Having stayed undercover for so long being looked after by the apprentices, it's likely the airframe remains in very good condition, although it appears she lacks a pair of tailerons.
It was advertised in June 2023 that XZ384 would be going for auction over the following months.
