I was the Gen.Inst.mechanic part of the team for XH620 when first delivered at Honnington. This was a fanastic year of my life working with a great team. I recall that on several ocassions I had to climb through the Bombay hatch with engines running to tap the Jet Pipe Temp. relays into action. We had one or two problems with door opening in flight, oil pressure indication failures. But what a super aircraft. Hopefully XH648 will be back on display shortly, since I once taxied this on the grass near the pan - he came home a bit fast...my first and only ever marshalling feat for my 12 years.
